Take Your Babies and Get Out!” My Mother-in-Law Screamed as My Husband Forced Me and My Ten-Day-Old Twins Into the Snow.

Chapter 2

Christian arrived in less than twelve minutes.

Three black SUVs pulled up to the mansion. Security personnel in dark suits stepped out first, followed by Christian Hale — my longtime lawyer, closest confidant, and the only person who had known my true identity from the beginning.

Julian and Eleanor stood frozen in the doorway as Christian walked straight up to me.

“Mrs. Vance,” he said formally, though his eyes were cold as he looked at the snow-covered twins in my arms. “Are you and the children alright?”

I nodded once.

Julian finally found his voice.

“Who the hell are you?” he demanded. “And why are you calling her Mrs. Vance?”

Christian ignored him completely and turned to the security team.

“Secure the property. No one enters or leaves without Mrs. Vance’s permission. Especially not Mr. Julian Hale or Mrs. Eleanor Hale.”

Eleanor let out a sharp, disbelieving laugh.

“This is ridiculous. This is our home. Julian, call the police—”

Christian finally looked at her.

“Mrs. Hale, this property is owned by Vance Global Holdings. Your son has been living here as a guest of Mrs. Audrey Vance. As of this moment, that invitation has been revoked.”

Julian’s face went slack.

“What are you talking about? I bought this house—”

“No,” I said quietly, stepping forward with my sons. “You didn’t. I did. Five years before we even met. The deed has always been in my name. The prenup you signed made that very clear.”

Julian stared at me like he was seeing a stranger.

Eleanor grabbed his arm.

“She’s lying. She has to be lying—”

Christian cut her off.

“Mrs. Vance is the founder and sole owner of Vance Global Holdings. Your son’s salary, this house, the cars, the lifestyle you’ve been enjoying — all of it comes from her. And as of tonight, that support has ended.”

The snow kept falling.

Julian looked at me, at the twins, then back at me.

“Audrey… please. We can talk about this. My mother was just emotional. The babies are cold—”

I looked at him without any warmth.

“You threw your ten-day-old sons into the snow because your mother told you to. There is nothing left to talk about.”

Chapter 3

I had built Vance Global Holdings from nothing.

What started as a small luxury fashion label in my early twenties grew into hotels, real estate, and eventually Mercer Luxury — the very company Julian believed he worked for.

When we met, I used my mother’s maiden name and kept my success completely hidden. I wanted to know if Julian loved me… or the idea of rescuing a “struggling designer.”

He chose the second option.

After we married, Eleanor moved in and slowly poisoned him against me. She hated that I worked from home. She hated that I didn’t need her approval. And when the twins were born, her dislike turned into open hatred.

I stayed silent because I was exhausted from pregnancy and birth. I thought things would settle.

I was wrong.

When they threw me and my newborns into the snow, they crossed a line I could never forgive.

Chapter 4

Christian’s team moved quickly.

Julian and Eleanor were given exactly one hour to gather their personal belongings.

Eleanor screamed the entire time. She called me names, threatened to call the media, and even tried to take one of the twins from my arms at one point.

Security stopped her immediately.

Julian tried a different approach. He became desperate.

“Audrey, please. I made a mistake. My mother pressured me. I wasn’t thinking clearly. Those are my sons—”

I looked at him while holding both babies.

“You made your choice when you stood beside her and let her throw us out. You don’t get to call them your sons now.”

By the time they left, it was nearly 2 a.m.

The mansion fell quiet for the first time in months.

Chapter 5

The next morning, Christian presented me with a full plan.

Divorce proceedings had already begun.

All joint accounts Julian had access to were frozen.

His position at Mercer Luxury was terminated.

A restraining order was filed against both Julian and Eleanor.

Most importantly, Julian was informed that any attempt to claim custody or visitation would be met with evidence of him endangering his ten-day-old children by throwing them into the snow.

He didn’t stand a chance.

Chapter 6

Julian tried to fight back through the media.

He gave interviews claiming I had hidden my wealth and tricked him. He tried to paint himself as the victim.

It backfired spectacularly.

Once the public learned that he had thrown his newborn twins into the snow at his mother’s command, the narrative turned against him completely.

His reputation was destroyed within days.

Eleanor disappeared from public view. The last I heard, she had moved to another country to escape the scandal.

Chapter 7

I focused entirely on my sons.

The twins — Alexander and Theodore — grew stronger every day. I named them after my grandfather and father, not after Julian.

They became my entire world.

For the first time since marrying Julian, I no longer had to hide who I was. I returned to running Vance Global Holdings openly. My team welcomed me back without question.

Chapter 8

One year later, Julian tried to contact me through lawyers.

He wanted visitation rights.

I refused.

The court supported my decision after reviewing the evidence of what he had done the night he threw us out.

He never tried again after that.

Chapter 9

Two years after that freezing night, I stood in the nursery watching my sons sleep.

They were healthy, happy, and loved beyond measure.

Elena, my former assistant who had become a trusted friend, now helped me raise them. She had been the only person besides Christian who knew my real identity from the beginning.

I had built a quiet but powerful life.

No more pretending.

No more enduring abuse for the sake of peace.

Chapter 10

Julian eventually remarried.

His new wife came from old money, but the marriage didn’t last long. Once people realized who he truly was, his social circle shrank dramatically.

I never spoke to him again.

Chapter 11

Three years after Julian and Eleanor threw me and my newborns into the snow, I stood on the balcony of my home holding Alexander while Theodore played at my feet.

The night was quiet. The mansion no longer felt like a prison.

It felt like mine.

I had lost the illusion of a happy marriage.

But I had gained something far more valuable.

I had gained the freedom to raise my sons without fear. I had gained the power to protect them completely. And I had finally stopped hiding who I was.

Julian had believed he was throwing away a helpless woman.

Instead, he had thrown away his last chance at being part of something real.

I kissed the top of Alexander’s head and smiled into the darkness.

We were safe.

We were free.

And we would never be anyone’s burden again.
